Katy Stewart

“You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have."

Katy Stewart is a wild boy mama in the small town of Summerland, British Columbia, Canada. When she isn’t working on her photography business, you can catch her spending time with her family. She’s all about experiences over tangible items,  exploring the outdoors, and embracing every moment of chaos.

Katy is a storytelling photographer who focuses on capturing connection over perfection, and specializes in Motherhood. Her style has been described as bold, dramatic, and full of magic.  She challenges her families to tear down their walls, breathe deeply, and open up to allow her to capture their vulnerability, their love, and their challenges in order to tell their story in a beautiful and poetic way. By being heavily involved in styling, scouting epic locations, shooting in golden light, chasing color, and normalizing that it’s ok to be wild, it’s ok to move, and it’s ok to FEEL during photos allows her to capture her families in depth, with magic, and in the form of true poetry.
