There's a bit of contradiction, a sense of duality and paradox in everything I do. I believe two truths can co-exist even if they work against each other. I find myself battling that in the art world with being original vs trends vs client pleasing vs being true. Instead of moving against that, these presets celebrate that duality.

This set is organized into seemingly strict categories that tell you what each section is for - cinematic, classic, film, flash. Maybe it makes you feel like you have no room to explore- but oh the contrary! I urge you to challenge the strict categories, there are no rules here but there are gentle guidelines. You can take them strictly for what they claim to be, or you can push the boundaries I have thoughtfully laid out for you and choose their purpose. After all, the paradox of duality is that there are times we need to embrace the opposite in order to achieve wholeness. In our lives and in our art.

Mari Trancoso
Mari Trancoso is a wedding/couple and family photographer based in Chicago, IL. She focuses on honest and poetic imagery -- making sure there’s always a story to be told. She started photography 6 years ago when her first born was still an infant. She has two kids, Nova and Ever, and a loving partner who also shoots alongside her. Her inspiration lies in movement as she was a competitive dancer for 13 years (trained for 17 years) and has been a yoga and dance instructor for numerous years.
